The vast majority of you should be receiving a physical copy of the below in the mail soon. Please be sure to review to documents thoroughly so we can be prepared for summer band.
Please note that close to the beginning of summer band I will released a detailed set of rehearsal procedures detailing hygiene, social distancing, etc. Know that at this time, UIL is requiring masks during rehearsals at any point you are not playing. Please plan ahead!

We’ll be meeting on Monday, July 27th and Tuesday, July 28th from 9:00 to 12:00, 1:30 to 4:00 . Please let me know if there are any conflicts during this time that you can’t resolve. If you don’t communicate with me, I’ll assume you will be in attendance.
Additionally, I need as many of you as are available to help with band registration on Saturday, Aug 1st. Please look asap to see if you can be in attendance to assist that day.
During our work days, we’ll be talking about servant leadership, direction for this marching season and the year, special procedures we may have in place, and have a number of tasks to accomplish so we can start the year off smoothly. I’m looking forward to seeing you then!
Color Guard
In addition to the Summer Band Schedule, for ANY interested in color guard:
· Color Guard will have a Thursday and Friday practice on July 30th and 31st, tentatively from 9:00 to 12:00, 1:30 to 3:00.
· Attendance, participation, and achievement on those two days will set our 2020 Color Guard.
· Color Guard will practice 9:00 to 12:00 during the second week of summer band, August 10th through 14th.
· There is a possibility of a Saturday practice during summer band depending on scheduling and need.

Percussion
In addition to the Summer Band Schedule:
· All Percussion will have practice on Thursday, July 25th and Friday, July 26th from 9:00 to 12:00 and 1:30 to 4:00. We will use this time not only to work fundamentals and our show music, but also to set our instrumentation.

Medical History - ALL students must fill out the medical history form and turn in to the directors before they can march.
Physicals - You MUST have a physical completed for marching band this year IF:
· You have never had a physical completed and passed before
· You answer YES to any of questions 1 through 6 on the medical history form
· If either of the above are true, you must turn in a completed and passed physical to the directors before you can march.
